_________________________________________________________________________ Jerry McClish -
ISMPH
December
29, 1920 - March 22, 2008
All of our older members remember Jerry McClish as ISMP's fearless leader for
over 14 years. Our newer members probably don't know who Jerry was; however,
he was the single most important member of the International Society of Marine
Painters. He was there when Clay Kent and a few other marine artists started
our society. It was Jerry's driving force that has kept it going through all
of those years. His passing is a very sad thing for all of us that knew and
loved him.
Any
sympathy cards may be sent to his wonderful widow at the following address:

Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.
David attended
grade school in Arcadia, Calif. He attended college at Cal Poly and then entered
the U.S. Navy in July 1966 and served three tours in Vietnam.
After his
honorable discharge, he got a license in architecture. He worked for Bob Graham
Architectural firm before operating his own architectural business for a while.
He then worked as a commercial fisherman for 20 years off the coast of Oregon.
Health issues forced him to retire and move to Montana in 1996.
Mr. Large
enjoyed sailing, painting, carving and making model ships. He was president of
the International Society of Marine Painters and has paintings on display in New
York City. He was a very personable man and had lots of friends.
David was an exceptional president and is missed by all.
